Here's something I don't get the chance to do every day! Steve's squadron had "Spouse Appreciation Day" where all the wives got to put on all the flight gear, then hop into a jet with our guys and do a high-speed taxi on the runway. I so wish we could've gone airborne, but we did get to go about 80-90 mph and talk over the radios (which was still pretty cool). I told Steve to stay in the biz for as long as he could - what a sweet job.
